Course Objective | The programme is specifically being organised by the Institute in order to achieve following main objectives:- 1- Understanding nature of youth employment challenges in developing countries. 2- Understanding the linkage between vocational /technical education and skill training with growth and employment: 3- Enable the participants to play larger role in designing and implementing Government Skill and Entrepreneurship development policies by enhancing their individual capacity. |
Course Profile | Understanding Skill and its importance from Employment, Employability, Decent Work and Sustainable Development Perspectives; Employment Challenges in the informal Sector with special reference to Skill Development; Growth and Employment – Interlinkages between Vocational/Technical Education and Skills Development; Skill Development Initiatives from International and Indian Perspectives. |
Methodology | This training will be delivered in an online mode. Participants should have access to good internet connection and computer/laptops with audio-visual facilities The training will primarily make use of lectures, case studies and experience sharing. |
Participation Level | Government Officials and Policy Makers involved with formulation and implementation of vocational /technical education and skill training programmes, trainers/teachers and instructors of vocational training institutes/centers, research institutes, organizations/institutions involved in imparting vocational/technical education and skill training. |
