Course Objective
  • To understand the various concepts and theories related to labour segmentation;
  • To familiarize the major sources of data collection (primary and secondary);
  • To explain the applicability of various qualitative and quantitative methods used for labour research;
  • To acquire knowledge on the major statistical packages used in labour research.
Course Profile Concept of Labour, theories of labour, gender and labour market; Sources of Data collection; applicability of quantitative methods used for labour research; Introduction of various statistical packages used in labour research
Methodology This training will be delivered in an online mode. The training will primarily make use of lectures, case studies and experience sharing. It will also include group discussions and thus be participative in nature.
Participation Level Labour Officials, Research Scholars and Academicians interested in labour studies. As this is an online training programme, those enrolling in the programme should have access to internet and laptop/desktop with audio-visual facilities.
