Course Title Online Training Programme on Code on Social Security 2020
Course Objective Provide background of the SS Code and discuss the key changes under the SS Code; major objectives and features of the SS Code. Analyse the various social security schemes under the Code with reference to organised and unorganised workers, the coverage and registration processes for each of the benefits. Discuss the role of the different social security organization/bodies to administer the social security schemes and penalty provisions for different offences. Reforms/changes that have been made in the Code and how the reforms will address the issues of the workers and also how the Code will impact the employers on their businesses.
Methodology The training session will primarily be lecture based along with interactive discussions and Q&A.  The lecture will be accompanied by structured PowerPoint presentation and some readings.
Participation Level Officials from the Central and State Labour Departments; representatives from industry/ employers’ organizations and Trade Unions; civil society organizations, academicians and researchers working in the domain of labour. Participants should have working knowledge of English Language. Further, as this is an online training, those enrolling in the programme should have access to internet and laptop/desktop with audio-visual facilities.
