Course Title Orientation Programme on Ensuring Legal Services & Effective Rehabilitation of Recued Child/Bonded Labour/Trafficking Labour
Course Aim This programme seeks to create awareness andbuild knowledge of the participants on specific schemesrelating to providing legal services to poor, marginalised, weaker sections of the society, including assistance in applying for schemes towards reducing their vulnerability to labour exploitation.
Course Objective To strengthen knowledge of participants on the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, Inter State Migrant Workmen Act, IPC 370, NALSA (Legal Services to the Workers in the Unorganized Sector) Scheme, Central Sector Scheme on Bonded Labour Rehabilitation,and other relevant Laws and Policies To equip the participants on the role and responsibilities of key statutory bodies mandated toaddress the issues relating to the vulnerability of labour and the importance of timely action which can contribute to strong prosecution To discuss the causes of distress migration and importance of reducing vulnerability,and timely rescue and effective rehabilitation
Course Profile NALSA Legal Services to the Workers in the Unorganised Sector, Scheme 2015, CALPR Act, Central Sector Scheme on Bonded Labour Rehabilitation Scheme (2016) Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, Bonded Labour System Abolition Act and other related legislation and policies.
Methodology Sessions will include interactive discussions, case study presentations, sharing of best practices, group discussions, video/audio presentations, follow up field activities and interactive learning quizzes.
