Course Details:
Course Title Online Training Programme on Social Security for Unorganised Sector Workers
Course Objective To make the participants acquainted with various inequalities existing in the work and coverage of social security. To sensitize the participants about the legislative framework for social security, social security schemes for workers, and the unique practices in the country. To familiarize the participants with labour laws and social security provisions.
Course Profile Overview of employment in the unorganized sector; Decent Employment; Concept of Social Security and its status; Social security laws; Social security Schemes, both Central and State Specific.
Methodology This training will be delivered in an online mode. The training will primarily make use of lectures, case studies and experience sharing. It will also include group discussions and thus be participative in nature.
Participation Level Government Officials, Central Trade Union Leaders and Researchers. We will appreciate if participants from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) are also nominated.

Course Objective Acquaint participants with concepts of social protection. Familiarize participants with the social protection programmes and micro level experiments in the country. Discuss the role of government, trade unions and community leaders for initiating rural livelihood protection programmes

Course Title Online Training Programme on Prevention and Elimination of Child Labour and Bonded Labour
Course Objective The programme is specifically being organized by the Institute in order to achieve following main objectives:- 1- To share challenges, case studies and successful experiences in addressing Child Labour and Bonded Labour; 2- To equip the participants with understanding of the laws and procedures in identification, prevention, rescue, release and rehabilitation of bonded labour and child labour in the backdrop of the magnitude, incidence, gender dimensions, climate change and other linkages, 3- To develop skills for making interventions on child labour and bonded labour effective 4- To impart skills for convergence of stakeholders’ efforts for reaching out the benefits of development programmes for reducing vulnerability to child labour and bonded labour.
Course Profile Magnitude and Incidence of child labour, Adolescent labour and bonded labour in India; Governmental Social Protection Schemes; (Income and Employment Generation; Skill Development, Poverty Alleviation Schemes) that benefit child labour families; Child Labour Policy; Legislation and Schemes on Bonded labour; and Communication and Community Mobilization Skills, SoPs and Protocols.
Methodology This training will be delivered in an online mode. Participants should have access to good internet connection and computer/laptops with audio-visual facilities.
Participation Level Officials dealing with the issues of Child Labour and Bonded labour in various Departments of the State Governments, Chairpersons and Members of Vigilance Committees, Child Welfare Committees, Child Protection Committees, NCLPs, Representatives of Trade Unions, PRIs/Tribal Councils, NGOs, NSS, NYK, Child Line and Students of Social Work. The programme will also deliberate on the dimensions, prevalence, determinants and deterrents of bonded labour and child labour.
