Course Title | Online Course on Qualitative Methods in Labour Research |
Course Aim | The Course aims at developing the capacities of young research scholars in the area of qualitative research. It provides an opportunity to go through a rigorous and interactive exercise on understanding various qualitative methods and tools, with special focus on labour research. |
Course Objective | Address theoretical and conceptual issues. Familiarize participants with the the philosophical and theoretical foundations of qualitative research and the schools of thought associated with qualitative research. Equip participants with the methods/strategies as well as the applicability of various qualitative methods. Develop capacity to analyse and interpret qualitative data. |
Course Profile | Qualitative Research Methods; Analysis and interpretation of Qualitative Data. |
Methodology | This training will be delivered in an online mode. The training will primarily make use of lectures, case studies and experience sharing. Each session will be based on a structured Power Point presentation accompanied by readings. |
Participation Level | Young teachers and researchers from Universities, Research Institutions and professionals in government organizations who intend to pursue their interest in labour research and policy. We will appreciate if participants from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) and women participants are also nominated. |
