Course Title | Online Training Workshop on Social Protection and Livelihood Security for Plantation Workers from North Eastern States |
Course Objective | To enhance the competence of social partners and motivates to work towards the promotion and holistic management of livelihood and social security measures for plantation workers in the North East. To discuss various issues and challenges relating to livelihood and social security of plantation workers in the region. To understand the different social protection programmes that transfer assets and skills of people for self-employment and public works programmes that enable people to cope with poverty. To explore the alternative coping strategies/good practices for poverty reduction among the plantation workers. |
Course Profile | Overview of social security and antipoverty programmes; sharing community experiments; understanding alternative strategies for poverty reduction. |
Methodology | This training will be delivered in an online mode. Participants should have access to good internet connection and computer/laptops/Smartphone with audio-visual facilities. |
Participation Level | Government Officials, Trade Union Leaders from Central Trade Unions, NGOs, and Research Scholars engaged in Plantation Sector from North Eastern States. Participants should have working knowledge of Hindi/English. |
