On the day of the “World Day against Child Labour” on 12th June 2019, the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India and V.V. Giri National Labour Institute in collaboration with the International Labour Organization, New Delhi organised a “Technical Consultation on Evolving Strategies for the Elimination of Child Labour in India”. Shri Heeralal Samariya, Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment delivered inaugural address and also released quarterly Journal ‘CHILD HOPE’. Dr. Dagmar Walter, Director of ILO, New Delhi, Ms. Kalpana Rajsinghot, Joint Secretary (Child Labour), Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India were also present on the occasion. Dr. H. Srinivas, Director General of the Institute welcomed the dignitaries.The Song on the Elimination of Child Labour, developed by the ILO and the Video-clip on the Elimination of Child Labour developed by the Child Labour Division, Ministry of Labour & Employment were launched on this occasion.
