| Course Aim | The Course aims at developing the capacities of young research scholars in the area of qualitative research. It provides an opportunity to go through a rigorous and interactive exercise on understanding various qualitative methods and tools, with special focus on labour research. |
| Course Objective | • Address various concepts, theories in labour studies. • Familiarize participants with the emerging Labour Issues and Challenges • Strengthen knowledge of various methods used for labour research • Sources of data on Labour. • Equip participants with the understanding and applicability of various qualitative methods • Develop capacity to apply these methods in their research work. |

| Participation Level | Young teachers and researchers from Universities, Research Institutions and professionals in government organizations who intend to pursue their interest in labour research and policy. We will appreciate if participants from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) and women participants are also nominated. 1. Participants should be above 22 years and below 40 years of age; 2. Should be fluent in English. Note: 1. Please note that those who have already attended institute’s earlier programmes on Research Methods should not apply again. 2. Spouse and family members are not allowed to stay in the Institute’s hostel. 3. Participants are requested to book their return ticket in advance from their own place. 4. Under no-circumstance other than IInd class sleeper train fare will be entertained |
