| Course Title | Training Workshop on Labour, Employment and Sustainable Development Goal in India |
| Course Aim | The main aim of the course is to enhance the capacity building of the participants on Sustainable Development Goals related to decent work. |
| Course Objective | To enhance the understanding about the concepts and definitions related to SDG Decent work indicators in the international and national contexts. To make them acquaint with the basic labour market indicators and also train the participants to analyse labour-market outcomes and policy impacts connected with sustainable development goals. To analyse trends in the Decent work with particular emphasis on sustainable development goals, at international, national, local, sectoral and occupational levels. To understand the dimensions of Decent work issues in developing countries and also to promote gender mainstreaming SDG goals in the labour market analysis. |
| Course Profile | Identification and interpretation of key SDG indicators , Analysis of country specific Decent work agenda/policies connected with SDGs, Gender mainstreaming in the production of labour market analysis, SDG Monitoring Practices, Best practices in decent work at global national level. |
| Methodology | The training will comprise of classroom activities such as Lectures/ Lecture-demonstrations, Practical/Group exercise and case methodology, Interactions with labour market experts etc.. |
| Participation Level | Young teachers and researchers from universities, colleges/ research institutions and professionals from various institutions. Officers and key functionaries of the government, representatives from trade union, employers and civil society organizations dealing with labour market., we will appreciate if participants from reserved categories (SC/ST/) are also nominated. |
