International Training Programme on Gender Issues in the World of Work
To address and strengthen the understanding of gender issues in labour market and to enhance the understanding of gender and women labour issues to develop appropriate corporate policies.
To discuss the key concepts and approaches related to gender.
To develop the capacity of the participants to achieve gender equity.
To look into gender dimensions of key labor market Indicators
To analyze existing policies through gender lens.
To identifying the equality and access issues in the labour market participation.
To provide awareness regarding various labour laws pertaining to women.
Concepts related to gender, access to quality education, unpaid care work, decent work, affirmative policies, preventing gender based violence , inclusive growth, gender equity , gender parity ,gender statistic e.t.c.
The methodology is essentially participative and dialogical and makes full use of the total time at the disposal of the participants. Methods geared to meet the varying needs of the participants such as lectures, discussions, case studies, audio-visual aids, library and reading assignments, periodic assessment, country specific project work, field visits to industrial units will be used during the programme. Besides the Institute’s highly qualified and experienced inter-disciplinary core faculty, eminent administrators, conciliators, advocates, experts, trade union leaders, senior executives and academicians will be available as resource persons.
Officials from Government Departments, Institutions, Representatives from Employee/Employers’ organisations, Executives from industrial and service sector/NGOs etc This programme is for foreign nationals sponsored by Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme.
