Course Title Training Programme on Social Security for Construction Workers
Course Aim To enhance organization building capacity of the construction workers/union activists.
Course Objective To impart knowledge and information about construction workers in general and status of workers in particular To impart leadership skills To enhance inter-personal communication To discuss the legal protections in various labour Legislations To familiarize on the various aspects of welfare funds for construction workers
Course Profile Problems of Construction Workers Communication Skills; Overview of the Construction Workers Effective Trade Union Building Building and other Construction Workers Act, 1996 (BOCW&RECS) etc.
Methodology Lectures, group discussions and case studies
Participation Level Representative from Trade Union, NGOs and Government Officials. For the welfare of vulnerable and marginalized groups of the society, we will appreciate if participants from reserved categories (SC/ST) are also nominated.

Course Title Capacity Building Programme for Unprotected Manual Workers
Course Aim The programme aims at empowerment of the representatives of unorganised workers by enhancing their skills and knowledge base as well as understanding about the best practices adopted in organizing the unorganised workers.
Course Objective To acquaint the participants about contemporary labour issues, various labour laws and related recent amendments, status of social security for the workers particularly the unorganised workers To provide a detailed understanding about the Mathadi Model (The Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers-Regulation of Employment and Welfare- Act, 1969 and its implementation; Mathadi Hamal & Other Manual Workers Board) and its replicability To discuss unique practices being followed other than the Mathadi Model of social security To acquaint the participants with effective communication, team-building, and leadership skills
Methodology Audio-visual Documentaries, Interactive Lectures, Group Discussion, Plenary Session and Panel Discussion, Role Play.

Course Title Capacity Building Programme on Identification, Rescue, Rehabilitation of Bonded Labour and Child Labour and Prosecution of Offenders
Course Aim The programme aims to equip the participants with knowledge and skills for effective Identification, release and immediate rehabilitation of bonded labour and child labour.
Course Objective To strengthen knowledge and skills for Identification of bonded labour and child labour To impart knowledge on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Identification and Rescue of Bonded Labourer and child labour To understand the ways of effective investigation in bonded labour and labour trafficking cases and Prosecution of Offender To discuss the importance of effective and timely filing of FIR, strong evidence collection and arrest of perpetrator and protection of victims To understand the linkage between human trafficking and bonded labour and also the role of Statutory and Law Enforcement bodies
Course Profile The bonded Labour Act (1976), IPC 370, CALPR Act, Standard Operating Procedures on Bonded Labour and Child Labour (MoL&E), Role and responsibilities of stakeholders, social partners including the Statutory and Law Enforcement bodies
