Course Profile
This three-day training programme is designed for early-stage startup professionals, development practitioners, labour officers, incubator representatives, management students and research scholars interested in understanding India’s evolving entrepreneurial ecosystem and its implications for employment and decent work. The programme will provide an overview of the policy and institutional landscape supporting startups, their role in employment generation, and emerging forms of work and employment relations. It will also examine labour and social protection frameworks, the gap between regulatory requirements and startup realities, and key issues relating to job quality, gender and inclusion, gig and platform work, and workplace safety. The programme attempts to explore pathways towards a more inclusive, responsible and sustainable startup ecosystem.
