Course Aim | This programme aims to sensitize the social partners on the existing inequalities in the world of work with focus on workers in the informal sector. It aims to enhance understanding of the linkages between informal economy and the challenges of safety and health issues at workplace with special focus on the challenges faced by women in the labour market. |
Course Objective | To develop a conceptual understanding on the issue of gender, work and health To understand changing labour market and employment relations and its impact on health and safety of workers in the informal economy To address the specific risks and health problems facing women workers in the informal economy To understand the international standards on OSH To understand the different OSH programmes/schemes and good practices for ensuring safety and health at workplace both at national and international levels To enable the participants to develop an understanding about the role of different social partners in ensuring safety and health at workplace. |
