| Course Objective | To make the participants acquainted with various inequalities existing in the work and coverage of social security. To sensitize the participants about the legislative framework for social security, social security schemes for workers, and the unique practices in the country. To familiarize the participants with labour laws and social security provisions |
| Course Profile | Overview of employment in the unorganized sector; Decent Employment; Concept of Social Security and its status; Social security laws; Social security Schemes, both Central and State Specific;Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board, funds and schemes;Unique practices adopted to provide social security for unorganized workers. |
| Methodology | This training will be delivered in an online mode. The training will primarily make use of lectures, case studies and experience sharing. It will also include group discussions and thus be participative in nature. |
| Participation Level | Government Officials, Central Trade Union Leaders and Researchers. We will appreciate if participants from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) are also nominated. |
